TWEAKS & TRICKS

  • Login Issues: “You may not proceed without being signed in to a profile.”
    • Solution: Enable the Microsoft Authenticator App in your Microsoft account. Login via the alternate sign-in notification sent to the app after selecting that option.
  • Login Failure with Password: Password attempts fail without explanation.
    • Solution: Login to your Microsoft account online, go to the security tab, and select “Manage How I Sign In” under the Account security tab. Add a new way to sign-in and choose the app method.
  • Black Xbox Login Screen: This usually means that the required web components are missing.
    • Solution: Ensure WebView2 is installed for Proton, or use Proton GE or Proton Experimental.
  • Initial Login: The game must be launched initially in desktop mode.
    • Solution: Launch the game in Desktop Mode.
  • Controller Issues: Steam Deck controller doesn’t work after launch.
    • Solution: Plugin a keyboard and mouse.
